price paid:65 USD (clearance)
positive:+ sharp across the frame (APS-C)
+ compact, light
+ metal build
+ low distortion (APS-C)
+ mine works with A55
+ value/money
negative:- AF a little noisy
- clip-on hood a bit clumsy
comment:I had this lens on film since probably 1991, loved it but sold it b/c it didn't get much use with the A200. When Ritz closed some stores I picked up a new Quantaray version which turned out to be my favorite walk around prime. It's the same size as a 50mm but with its angle of view being much more versatile. It is a little weaker in the corners on film / FF but almost perfect on APS-C. Currently I put it on my A55 whenever I don't want to carry a zoom. No SLT compatibility issues so far.
