ownership:I own this lens
compared to:Sony DT 18-70
price paid:85 USD(new)
positive:Lens feels solid (metal)
Nice and compact feel
negative:sharpness on 200mm
gets a tad tougher to turn between 80-100mm
Slow AF speed
comment:I used this lens on my A700. Overall I thought the lens was much better than the Sony 18-70 A200 kit lens. The only thing that really bothers me is how it "sticks" a bit when in the 80-100mm range.
