comment: | I am not sure why this nice little lens was replaced by the much larger EX DG lens in 2004. The light weight version that came between these looks identical to this lens other than the removal of the distance window. The focus throw and minimum focus distance are the same as the Minolta/Sony 28mm primes. This lens is much sharper than any of the Minolta 28 F2's I've tried or the Canon 28 F1.8. The Sony FE 28 F2 is just as bright as this lens and other than barrel distortion has less optical issues. |
