comment:I sold my crappy Sigma 400 F5.6 APO(see my review) to finance this lens and that was a very good move.

I found this lens was a bit short for birding so I bought a Minolta AF 500mm F8 Reflex(which I didn't like, see my review) to complement it.

Sold both to finance the Tamron SP AF 200-500 F5-6.3 Di.
