ownership:I have experience with this lens
compared to:Sony 20mm 2.8
Sony 35 mm 1.8 SAM
Sony 16-50mm 3.5-5.6
price paid:169USD plus tax
positive:Great quality build for the price.
Very sharp from wide open > Sony 20mm >> kit zoom
Friendly angle of view
Fast focus (using center spot on Nex6)
negative:Slow apperture: would have loved this to be at least a f2.4 if not 2.0.
Relatively large especially given slow apperture (without hood it's a little larger than Sony 20mm with its hood attached.
comment:Bought this as a birthday present for a friend and got to play with it. Probably the best bang for the buck for E Mount APC. If considering getting into E mount, skip the kit zoom and just get this one. The sharpness of this lens is very impressive. I did not notice any distortion; despite some of the reviews I read, flare was well controlled as was purple fringing (with the hood on and a BW UV filter). This is not a Zeica marvell but its not costing much and if lost its easy to replace.
