ownership:I used to own this lens
compared to:Sigma 60mm f2.8 Art DN
Sony 30mm f2.8 A mount
Sony 50mm f1.8 A mount
Minolta 28mm f2.8 Emount adapter
Sony kit lens
price paid:£104 (new)
positive:Great value, compact, colours and sharpness, but not so good as the 60mm, which is awesome. As an alternative to the kit lens, it's a good buy.
Nice case .
negative:Hard to specify but if comparing to the 60mm Art then not so appealing.
comment:Bought in the Black Friday sale for a great price but sold it shortly afterwards. Not a major criticism of the lens per se in a standalone comparison. If you were open to one of two prime choices, 60mm f2.8 DN and 30mm f2.8 DN I would choose the 60mm. If you want 30mm for size or other reasons, go for it.
