positive: | Amazing image quality at any aperture. Very short minimum focus distance makes this a perfect walk-around lens. Focus ring is so smooth. Takes advantage of the a high-resolution sensor such as the 24MP on the a99. |
negative: | For a brand new lens, it required a lot of micro adjustment. |
comment: | This lens has become my standard lens over a Minolta 28-70mm 2.8G. The sleek design makes old lenses really show their age. After seeing all the Canon/Nikon mount reviews for this lens, the decision to get it was pretty easy. I bought it on the day of release and it is labelled 012. |
