ownership:I own this lens
compared to:Sony SAL1650
Sony SAL2470Z
Sony SAL70300G
price paid:315 EUR (used)
positive:Sharp (when one learns to use it properly), beautiful bokeh, fast as lightning
negative:The lens tests you and not the way around! It's not a real con, but any potential buyer must be aware of it!
comment:My first high-end prime lens, so we had harsh times until got used to each other. Had to learn how to handle this lense (as one always has when getting close to a prime for the first time). But after becoming friends we produce great results! The lens even made me realise that my a5080 had some slight BF issues which had to be coorected manually (as there's no software solution in the a580). Its weight balances right with the camera and this combo is not for weak-handed little girls, I must admit. But as I'm not that kind I enjoy having it in hand for a whole day (or more). I'd suggest everyone to buy it, it's great fun to shoot with it!
