ownership:I own this lens
compared to:Sony 18-70mm f3.5-5.6 macro, Sigma 70-300mm f4-5.6 APO DG Macro, Minolta 50mm f1.7
price paid:Ł35.00 S/H Ebay
positive:Small, light, good pictures, fast focus lock, well made.
negative:Filter rotates when focusing.
comment:For the price I paid (Ł35.00 S/H but looks new, complete in the box delivered from Ebay)I cannot fault it.

It is a small & light lens with a useful range.

For anyone with the kit lens on a tight budget, this is definitely worth looking at. It compliments the kit lens very well, and is very similar in size/weight and picture quality.
