comment: | Top tear lens along with the 35mm GM and the 135mm GM. Yes it's only f2.0 but it blows the Zeiss 55mm out of the water, at the edges and the corners as well as have significantly higher resolving power. Resolving power is a rating that we should be able to score on as it it is relevant to our increasingly demanding camera bodies. Higher resolving lenses create more information for the sensor, excite a greater number of pixels and reduce sensor noise. Lens distortion is handled by our RAW editors automatically as it is in camera for Jpegs. The mild distortion of this lens requires less correction than several of my GM lenses, so it gets a 5 rating from me. |
