positive:- very well build
- Hood
- Tripod collar
- Internal focus
- manual focussing
negative:- At 2.8 a little soft, could be less important for portraits.
- Manual focussing with 2x EX converter a little heavy

comment:Very well build. Heavy lens but that's not unusual in this segment. At f2.8 it's a little soft. At 3.2-4.0 it's very good and from 5.6> it’s excellent. It's a pity there is no HSM version for the A-mount but overall its focusing fast. The lens hood is good and works very well. Also the tripod collar and the case are excellent. The tripod collar can be removed very easily for handheld use. I tried both this lens and the KM 200/2.8 G HS before I decided. The KM 200 is sharper from 2.8-5.0 and more compact. I finally choose the sigma because of the versatility of the zoom. The 200mm is to limited in use for me. Overall it’s a very nice lens.
