compared to:Minolta 24-105mm
Minolta 20-35mm
Minolta 100-300mm
Canon 70-300mm
price paid:850
positive:Sharp enough
Good colors
Fast focus at light
Solid build
negative:The auto focus is noisy and hunts badly at low light
Heavy
Soft focus at 2.8 but probably it is quite good for portraits
It is a little blur at the long end
comment:Great lens for this money, excellent colors, razor sharp from 4.0. Really not always suitable for traveling because of heavy weight.
