ownership:I own this lens
compared to:- minolta 50mm 1.7
price paid:€400 (new)
positive:- razor sharp
- beautiful bokeh
- true macro 1:1
- nice results when used as portrait lens
- focus limiter
negative:- If hood on - you can't mount filters
- Work against light is not great
comment:This is great macro lens. Very sharp from 2.8. Beautiful bokehlicious backgrounds. I use it also as portrait lens with great results. Here is sample: http://mmphotography.ie/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2014/01/communion-photo-wicklow-1-1152c9804f1f082.jpg

This lens has focus limiter - that improves AF speed a lot.
Work against light is not great (washed out colours, flare). If hood on - I can't can't mount filters (-1 to build rating)
