flare control: 5
|ownership:||I own this lens|
|compared to:||18/55 kitlens|
|positive:||Verry, verry sharp|
quality of build
Quality of hood
AF on portraits
Hood needs to be removed for lenscap, or ou must buy a 77mm aftermarket cap.
Might be a dustcollector due to enormous length when focussing on Macro sized things
|comment:||I like this lens a lot. Have it on most of the time. Perfect for portraits. Verry good on flowers and bugs. |
But!!! it's not an easy lens to use. on 70mm and macro the DOF is verry thin. You need a tripod and a lot of patience. I stil find it hard sometimes to get the results i want. The lens can do it, but i need to learn to be more still, patient and take my time.
All in all, a killer lens that for the money is the best thing you can buy :)
