Feels solid
negative:Very little other than focusing motor whine
comment:Really very pleased with this lens. As a macro lens it works well although a longer focal length would be better allowing you to be further away from the subject.

Gives really sharp pictures wide open and superb sharpness at f4. I bought this to double as a portrait lens and I have to say I'm not disappointed.

One minor gripe is focusing noise without the limiter, which sounds very rough and uneven. I am hoping that as this lens loosens up that will ease. For macro work manual focus is preferable. I f it doesn't my build rating will have to change to "4", which is a pity for an otherwise well built lens.
