comment:Fantastic on my A100 and α77! Very sharp, even wide-open in corners. A veritable portrait machine, at f/1.4, faces look like they're out of this world.

The HSM worked really well on the A100, but the lens had to be re-chipped (free service by Sigma) to work on the α77. Fast, smooth and quiet.

Lots of purple fringing at high-contrast areas wide-open. Purple fringing will show up on astrophotography. Cleans up well, e.g., in lightroom CC.
