| comment: | I rented a copy of this lens to see if I would be happy selling my FE16-35 and then just carry the E10-18 and E18-105 lenses. This lens is a little soft wide open at all focal lengths. Best IQ is from 12-16mm; 18mm is the worst and 10mm is OK but not great. At 16 and 18mm, the FE16-35 and E18-105 are both better than this lens. At 12mm, if you stop down 2 stops, this zoom is as good as the Rokinon prime. My conclusion is, the selling points for this lens are its small size, light weigh, OSS, and decent IQ from 12-16mm when stopped down. |
