ownership:I own this lens
compared to:FE 16-35
E 55-210 at 55, 70 and 100mm
price paid:560 USD
positive:relatively light weight, useful focal length range, IQ 1 or 2 stops down from wide open
negative:physical size, soft wide open at all focal lengths
comment:I enjoy using this lens as my everyday, walk-around lens. It is soft at f/4, but with a little sharpening in post I can't tell the result from an image shot at a native f/5.6. No question, the FE 16-35 has better IQ. But, this lens is better than the E 55-210 from 55-100mm. So, if you want to carry just 1 lens, this one is a good choice.
