ownership:I own this lens
compared to:Nothing I own
price paid:RRP Netherlands
positive:Compact and lightweight, exactly why I bought it. Plastic fantastic, but done in the right way. Sharp enough, no complaints. OSS works nicely, after all it is a slow lens with 200 mm FF equivalent.
negative:Distortion in RAW is pretty bad, compose the wide angles with some room to wriggle. Apparently jpegs are OK. Lightroom profile works reasonable well, but there is always puppet warp.
comment:Surprisingly well functioning package. Convenient mechanical zoom and focus rings, No weather sealing and diaphragm ring, extends when zoomed, but this helps to keep things small and light.
