comment:I had a Minolta 35 f2, a great lens but oh boy this 35 f1.4 G is so much better and therefore worth the money.

People usually report this lens as "soft" at 1.4 and so was in doubt. I have always lusted this lens, now that I have it I’m really happy.

My lens is sharp at 1.4 (not the sharpest one), gets better as you stop down, but between f1.4 and f2.8 this lens is magical, produces a 3D effect and bokeh that is worth each single $
