negative: | Hefty in comparison to cheaper alternatives (75-300 D). Reversing petal hood is ridiculously large (so that it can reverse). No tripod mount. |
comment: | All you could ever want in a tele-zoom (if you don’t need something longer or faster ;-). I’ve yet to find a hood solution that really suits (the reversing petal hood is ridiculously large so that it can reverse), but a smaller srew-on metal hood makes the whole lens a bit long for my bag with it in place. Good value for money if you can pick it up below £500 (which it has been on general offer for at times). |
