ownership:I own this lens
compared to:Sony 24mm F2
Sony 16-50 f2.8
Sony 70-400G SSM
Sony Zeiss 24-70SSM
and many minolta lenses
price paid:350
positive:high sharpness
beautiful color
negative:ugly Bokeh sometime
not very fast focus
comment:in general, it is a good lens either in color or sharpness, I believe it worthy of a G label.
I used to have its big brother 70-400G SSM, which is slightly better in focus speed on Sony a77II and a99II. but the color and sharpness are on a par, for travel purposes I will definitely carry the 70-300G.
