ownership:I own this lens
compared to:70-400GII is little faster autofocus but too nervous until it locks on subject. I don't thing the extra AF speed give any benefit compare to 70-400GI because until it locks on subject is the same time.
price paid:1800 euro
positive:As the original 70-400GI plus I like the white colour more than the silver
negative:White hood very easy to get dirty & sctatch
comment:Except from white colour I don't see any reason to buy the GII over the GI
