positive:This lens is extremely sharp, and the colour rendition is superb. The SSM is very fast and works well with my A77, and A850. I would highly recommend this to any A-Mount user who doesn't already own one.
negative:This lens isn't weather-sealed, and the I find silver colour of the lens appalling. I find the hood has a tendency to fall off.
comment:I've had this lens for over two years now, and I still am impressed with its performance. I've used it photographing events, wildlife, sports, and its been out to sea on multiple where it has excelled. Its much sharper than my 70-300mm, and almost mirrors my 70-200mm performance.

If your in the market for a 70-400mm on the A-Mount I recommend this model. Do yourself the favour and save the $500.00. The performance difference between the two is negligible.
