ownership:I own this lens
compared to:Sony AF 70-400mm F4-5.6 G SSM II
Sony FE 100-400mm F4.5-5.6 GM
Sony E 55-210mm F4.5-6.3 OSS
price paid:AU$700
positive:Longreach
Sharp even at 400mm f5.6
negative:Heavy.
Focus ring hard to turn.
Purple CA, however, can be removed easily in editing program.
Stands out in the silver livery
comment:Extremely lucky got this lens secondhand from an old gentleman just AU$700.

With 120+ reviews already here I got nothing else to add.
It's a sharp lens throughout all focal length and aperture, however, more CA were spotted on the first generation compared to the II and the latest GM.

I'm using this lens on a6000 with LA-EA4. The AF was acceptable but I won't call it fast, slower comparing to any E-mount lens, even the E55210 kit lens.

In a simple conclusion, highly recommend for tight budget photographers. But if you got enough money, go for the II ver or 140GM/260G on E mount!
