ownership:I own this lens
compared to:Sony 50mm F/1.8
price paid:80 GBP (used)
positive:Cheap, light
negative:Close effective distance
comment:Got this just to play with and explore macro world.

Things I liked- very light and compact, like other Sony lenses in this series, I have 50mm /1.8 and it's about the same, I don't mind about plastic mount, really don't care.

Image- need some practice, but looks like, that you can get some nice shots if light is proper, but that's the problem of photographer not lens.

Maybe the only downside is that 1:1 magnification is only inch away of object, so it's more difficult to adjust tripod and get the light where you want it. Anyway, for the price I paid, it will be in my bag for some time.
