comment:I only had this lens for about 10 days. Returned it after I got the SAL35f1.8 lens which is better for indoor (wider). Slightly less sharp than 35F1.8 wide open. I miss it sometimes since I found it is easier to focus, better flare control than 35f1.8 and the image is less distorted (better for portrait). However I have now got a copy of 55-200 which is as sharp as the two primes. My best portraits are taken with 55-200. Color is not as good as 50f1.7.
