ownership:I own this lens
compared to:None
price paid:1500 EUR (new)
positive:Build, IQ, MFD
77 mm filter like 24-70CZ and 16-35CZ.
negative:AF near MFD tends to hunt. But focus peaking gives you much more control over the exact point of focus there anyway.
comment:Focus peaking with this lens is like taking candy from a baby. AF is instant (even though it is screwdriven) but twitchy at MFD. The optics are flawless, can be used wide open without any deterioration of IQ (but with next to no DOF). Built like a tank, including the lens hood. Feels great on A99. Colour is more neutral than Minolta glass, which is OK in the digital era. MFD is much better than the 85s.
