ownership:I own this lens
compared to:None. Not much like it.
price paid:1400.00
positive:Build quality is top notch, Good sharpness at all apertures
negative:Terrible purple fringing wide open and a few stops slower, I mean i had to do the lens correction in LR for every picture I have taken. I wouldn't have to do this if i was a photographer for the Minnesota Vikings.
Focal length.
comment:I'm kind of on the fence with this lens. I think it is best suited for still life photography because I haven't been able to get a properly focused shot shooting anything with moderate to a lot of movement. Maybe this lens is better on full frame A99 but not great results with A77.
I would think for the price you pay for Zeiss you would get a near flawless lens. No SSM, purple fringing, yuck.
