ownership:I own this lens
compared to:Minolta 135/2.8, 70-200/2.8 SSM
price paid:GBP 695 (new)
positive:Very sharp; accurate AF; short working distance; build quality
negative:Weight
comment:AF is very accurate, more accurate than both Min135/2.8 and the 70-200/2.8 SSM in low-light situations. Images are sharp at wide open. It feels very solid and balanced on my 7D /w grip. Weight is OK if you're used to shooting with 1kg lenses. Am hopeful of even better results on a FF sensor. Definitely keeping this!
