positive:Sharpness
Range
Versatility
negative:I guess the colour fringing (minor) at f1.8-2.0 range in some conditions
Front metal casing started to wobble and had to go for a repair - once taping updated - all good
comment:Echo the other comments already describing this lens. As soon as it was acquired I've really not used the Minolta 85 f1.4 G D; it's very versatile for photo art of plants and exceptional for portraiture. Definitely one of the best in the a-mount range. Goes great on Minolta film bodies as well.
