positive:Sharp; beautiful bright colours. 77mm filter.
Solid feel so ideal in a tough environment or studio.
negative:Fixed length too long as portrait lens on APS-C.
Not SSM - but not a major problem.
Fixed length and weight mean not a first travel walkabout choice.
comment:I have had this lens nearly a year now and it still amazes me with its clarity and feel everytime I pick it up. Very sharp; beautiful colours and a confidence about it.
Its too long (imo) as a portrait lens on an APS-C camera and lacking SSM, but if taking time and care with a static subject then that doesn't matter.
