ownership:I own this lens
compared to:KM 16-35mm F2.8-4.5
MINOLTA 17-35MM F3.5 G
price paid:450 EUR (used)
positive:The lens is very well built and looks like it can handle heavy usage without worries of paint loss or damage.
Sharpness is very high at full aperture at both ends of the focal length.
Colour output is similar tho other Zeiss lenses.
Full AF modes are supported by later models.
negative:Its a heavy lens to carry, becoming a second or third option for walk about.
Being a SSM lens it doesn't work with older film cameras.
comment:Its the definitive 16-35 lens for A-mount and if your looking to this focal range you can't go wrong with it.
It pairs well with the 24-70mm F2.8 Zeiss, giving similar output.
