ownership:I own this lens
compared to:28-70G, KM 28-75/2.8
price paid:1,300 AUD (as new)
positive:Sharpness, focus speed, MFD
comment:Fabulous lens all round, it's the most recent of my standard zooms and was purchased mainly for it's focus speed and MFD over the 28-70G.

Here is how I rank the 3 on a couple of dimensions.
Colour: 28-70G, CZ 24-70, KM 28-75.
Sharpness: CZ 24-70, KM 28-75, 28-70G. The micro-contrast of the CZ makes for jaw dropping detail.

Overall I like the way that the 28-70G renders images as a whole, but the CZ has more immediate visual pop and the short MFD makes a huge difference when I'm snapping my toddlers. That last point alone means I'm getting many more usable images.

Have used only with an A850, would like to see what the speed of this lens would be like with a more sophisticated focussing system.
