comment:When I sold my minolta 28-70mm f2.8 G, I didn't know how much will I miss it. I bought the zeiss new and at the beginning I didn't like it much! It was unbalanced (and still is) when zoomed or extended but I learn to live with it. Now that I used it a bit more and saw how fast it focuses and how blinding sharp it's, I became in love with it!! Even many will claim it's not a bokeh queen, but I thing it's there with the best of them if you choose your background carefully. Most lenses if not all will suffer with busy bokeh if the background is not right or not in MFD. This lens is great landscape, portrait, semi-macro...etc. very happy I sold my minolta and went for Zeiss.
