|Tama 5a Oak#24481 date: Feb-3-2016|
flare control: 5
|ownership:||I own this lens|
|compared to:||A 70-300 G lens and a bunch of older Minolta glass .|
|price paid:||$2050 NZD used .|
|positive:||I love the heft of the lens , well made and made in Japan !|
So sharp , poster size hi res prints are amazing .
Side by side comparison with a friends Nikon equivalent showed colors that i prefer .
It can purple fringe , but not often and its hard to find , so very good in this regard .
My first ever - - wow , or say what , or OMG , or this thing is sharper than life , - - Lens experience ....
|negative:||Nothing really apart from wanting a One Piece Steel lens hood , as opposed to the hood it comes with , which is steel but with a threaded plastic insert , so it can come off which i experienced .|
|comment:||As others have said , I should have purchased this incredible optic years ago , however the wait has been well worth it .|
I know it is made by Cosina in Japan , so thanks to the Japanese for the build and the Germans for the design , and i know the name of the person in Japan who inspected and approved MY lens , as it comes with the inspectors name ;
cheers Mr H . Hirano .
