ownership:I own this lens
compared to:
price paid:1379 € (new)
positive:Very high IQ at all apertures (except chromas), nice colors, snappy contrast, ver y low vignetting, very fast and accurate AF operation, weather sealed
negative:The amount of CAs wide open is quite high, purple fringing in high contrast areas is quite pronounced
comment:All in all it is a highly desirable lens. It's a joy to use. Built quality is on a very high level, the SSM AF is quite fast and acuurate.
What I am a little bit disappointed about is the high amount of CA open up to f2. Especially purple fringing is quite disturbing in high contrast areas.
(unfortunately there is still no compensation available in ACR or DxO).
