comment:I'll keep this review short. Simply to say, all the DXO/lenstip/dpreview tests fail to tell you the 2 important things you need to know about a lens. A) How it draws a subject B)Bokeh performance. The Leica Noctilux would be a classic example of this approach.

This Zeiss lens really is a stunner - it looks almost identical to the 85 f1.4 but has SSM & has that bokeh/look & feel which is just outstanding.

I'm sure many people will be plumping for the Sigma 50 f1.4 art as on paper it looks like the better lens. However, there is no way it will draw in quite the same beautiful fashion this zeiss does.
