ownership:I own this lens
compared to:As I normally shoot FF I cannot compare
price paid:RRP Netherlands
positive:A small and light powerhouse. Plastic fantastic, but solid. The motor zoom ring works elegantly. Separate ring for MF. Sharpness surprisingly good.
negative:The motor zoom slide is hard to control. Distortion (well corrected in jpeg) is present in RAW and is considerable (frame not too tight, you need room to wriggle).
comment:I bought this to complement a compact and easy to carry travel kit (A6100, E 18-135 OSS) and it is ideal for that. The 10-20 zoom range appears limited but in terms on viewing angle it is huge and very practical for landscape or architecture (although the considerable distortion when used in RAW may be challenging in the latter).
