positive:One of the best lenses yet made for 35mm sensors.
negative:Only the tiniest bit better than the Sigma Art 135mm f1.8 for a whole lot more money. The law of diminishing returns.
comment:This is a truly brilliant lens. It isn't noticeably sharper than the equivalent Sigma 135mm art lens in the centre of the frame.
The GM lens moves ahead as you move out to the corners, but it isn't a huge difference. Even side by side comparison is difficult.
The big improvement here is auto focus speed which simply keeps up with everything I have yet found to throw at it. Add that to the latest Sony body offerings and you have an unbeatable combination of keepers and resolution.
