|positive:||Low weight, uses screw-on filters|
|negative:||Big, expensive, dreadful-for-the-price resolution at the edges.|
|comment:||VERY disappointed is this lens.. Wanted Sony's best for my a7R4A and got something else.. Defective? I certainly don't know.|
The flare rating is a guess, but all fields MUST be completed!

|positive:||As sharp as my Voigtlander 15mm and my Zeiss SEL35f28Z and as far as I can tell as sharp as all the best avilable lenses in between.|
Very little vignetting when stopped down a little. Sharp wide open at all focal lengths.
|negative:||Plastic hood is criminal on a lens of this price.|
|comment:||The best wide zoom lens ever, Sharp from corner to corner at all focal lengths with the resolving power of top notch primes. An amazing achievement buy Sony's optical engineers.|
And then they finished it all off with a plasticity hood which will cost an arm an a leg to replace if you crack it. Poor show Sony.
This lens is a little large and obvious and hard to be unobtrusive with, but otherwise it is great for street, architectural, lifestyle and interior pro photo work. Very highly recommended.
The Batis 18mm suffers less lens flare, but it should as it is a prime lens.
