ownership:I own this lens
compared to:Tamron SP 150-600mm F/5-6.3 Di USD (A-mount)
Sony AF 4-5.6/70-400 SSM G (A-mount)
+ various others
price paid:1979.10 € (new)
positive:+ nice focal length range
+ internal zoom and focus
+ fast autofocus
+ works with teleconverters
negative:- aperture wise slow
- zoom ring moves easily
- minimum focus distance quite long
- not the smallest and lightest lens
comment:Nice supertelephoto zoom, that offers good image quality in fine reasonably compact form. Of course, since this is only rated F5.6-6.3, in low light this isn't the best possible lens, but in good light it works like a charm.
