ownership:I own this lens
compared to:Sony 70-400 G SSM (version 1)
price paid:RRP The Netherlands
positive:Reach, zoom range. Solid Build. Nice finish. Very ergonomic, a pleasure to use. Zoom and manual focus is very smooth, fingertip operation. Focuses very well. OSS is magical, keepers galore.
negative:Not the fastest kid on the block at f/6.3 on the long end, but I accept the compromise as faster is bigger and more expensive.

Drop-in filters would have been nice. No way I'll get a polarizer for this filter size
comment:It replaces the A-mount 70-400 G SSM that I used through LA-EA3 adaptor on A7Rii. That combination was never ideal.

Bought the FE 200-600 with A7iii for superior AF and it delivers.

It is bigger than I imagined but just fits the backpack with camera attached which makes it OK.
