ownership:I own this lens
compared to:Tamron SP 150-600mm F/5-6.3 Di USD (A-mount)
Sony AF 4-5.6/70-400 SSM G (A-mount)
price paid:1650 €
positive:Very sharp, close to a prime
fast AF for a Zoom,
completely useable with 1.4 TC in all AF modes, even 2x TC heplful in a few situations (preferably AF-S).
combines very well with my A7rIV fw 1.2.
Useful OIS,
Versatile zoom range,
smooth zom ring that covers the whole range in barely a half turn
good tripod collar.
negative:Heavy (felt especially in overhead operation),
foot not compatible to Arca, you need an Arca plate
sometimes noticeable CAs
comment:Bought it 4 months ago, when I switched from A-Mount (A99II) to E-Mount. Phantastic zoom, a perfect all round wildlife lens. Image quality and AF exceeds what was possible with my A-Mount zooms. Still very good with the 1.4 TC which adds even more versatility. Sold my A-Mount primes. This lens is good enough for my purposes and much more versatile.

I did not have any problems with my A7rIV fw 1.2. Great combo!
