comment: | I haven't actually used it on a 61MP sensor, but that's the closest I could see to the ɑ1's 50MP sensor. In overall terms, I like this as a walkabout lens and for events and travel. It's useful having the longer reach of 105mm. It works well in combination with my cameras to shoot events. I've not been really bothered by the f4 aperture as that suffices for the subjects I photograph with it. The sharpness is very good, rather than say excellent. I can get sharper images from my Zeiss or GM lenses. This sharpness is however, very good over the entire range. It's not softer at say, one end of the range. So it seems to work best as a general purpose lens, if you'd prefer more range to a wider aperture. |
