Very good overall IQ with good central sharpness even at max aperture. Needs stopping down at least a full stop to sharpen the edges. Much better than the 18-200s but would never replace the shorter range zooms - BUT it isn't intended to. It is a travel lens for occasions when carrying or changing lenses is undesirable and for this it is very good.

Amazingly at f7.1 @ 210 it is as sharp as my beercan.

Highly recommended but don't expect prime lens quality.
