Focus hunt in low light conditions
comment:I really like the versatile range of this lens. In bright light it performs very well across the range, apart from some edge chromatic aberation at longer focal lengths.

It is very compact for the range and will be useful for trips where a single lens, with reasonable wide angle & telephoto are needed.

My copy seems to autofocus at 200mm which is under half the stated minimum focus distance...bonus! (Thought that might mean front focus problems but tests show it is spot on)

If pure quality is required I would be inclined to use the 16-80 CZ, and miss those shots that require the extra focal length.

At the price it a useful lens to have as part of the kit.

Further to this we have repalced the KM5D with an A350, this lens has come to life...

Recent shots are increasingly pleasing. Not a tack sharp lens, but just amazingly versatile.
