ownership:I own this lens
compared to:Minolta 18-70
Sigma 70-300 APO II
price paid:220€ (used, mint)
positive:Versatilty
Sharpness
Close focus
negative:Chromatic Aberration in the long side
Vigneting in the wide side
Slow focus
comment:A great lens for the price. It does everthing my former kit (18-70 + 70-300) except for the 1:2 macro ability the Sigma had.

For a lens that versatile, sharpness is great. The mayor drawback I've found is that C/A is very evident in the telephoto side.

Focus is a bit slow, and the lens is not too fast, but that's usual for that kind of lenses.
