ownership:I own this lens
compared to:Sigma 18-125
Sony 18-70
Minolta 70-210 3,5-4,5 / 4,5-5,6 / Beercan
price paid:4300 SEK (430 EUR)
positive:Amazingly sharp especially up to 200 mm
Extremely versatile range
Compact format, well built
Very accurate AF
negative:Some CA
Slow AF
Slow aperture – but what can you expect?
Soft beyond 200mm
Zoom creep – but there is a zoom lock
comment:This is an extremely good lens. I am very much impressed by it. Yes there are sharper, faster lenses, lenses with faster AF but so very near perfect in so many areas in one lens, being really bad at almost nothing should be impossible. I have sold off all my other lenses for this one as this one replaces basically all except for macro and indoor sports (why I just bouth a 70-200 F2,8).

Edit: sold it to go for Olympus + 14-150 (the smaller size) but have realized I was missing the IQ from Sony+18-250. I had to buy another copy, this time a used one. Paid 2000 SEK for it this time.
