ownership:I have experience with this lens
compared to:KM 18-70, Tamron 28-80
price paid:Ł12 used
positive:Cheap on ebay, good performane
negative:Not very wide
comment:f4.0 lasts until 40mm, f4.5 until 59mm and f5.0 to 70mm.

Quite sharp across the range, but soft at the edges wide open (f5.0) at 90mm, this lens has a metal boyonet and reasonable controuction. unfortunately it only starts at 35mm (52mm equiv on digital).

My full observed results for each stop using the five point scale are as follows (centre/edge):
35mm f4.0 4(sharp)/3.5(good), f5.6 4/3.5, f8.0 4/3.5, f11 3.5/3.5
60mm f5.0 3.5/2.5, f5.6 4/3.5, f8.0 4/4, f11 4/3
90mm f5.6 3.5/2(soft), f8.0 4/3.5, f11.0 4/3
